Education Advocacy Services

$150.00 per hour for New Clients

$50.00 per hour for BPW Clients

Our Educational Advocates will work with you and your child to assist in navigating the school system procedures to ensure that your child’s needs are met. Our Educational Advocates will guide you and your child by developing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan. Our goal is to advocate for your child and help you feel confident that your child is getting everything they need from the school system.

Our Educational Advocates will:

Assist in the request for an IEP or 504 plan and the process surrounding its development.
Act as liaison between your mental health team (prescriber and therapist) and the School System to ensure your child’s needs are being assessed, and your mental health team provides that input.
Monitor compliance and assist in the revision of the educational plan.
Interpret and help the family understanding the actual IEP or 504 and all of its many components.
Assist guardians during the testing process by leading them to the proper Assessments for testing.
Conduct student observations in the classroom
Provide resources that can be helpful outside of the classroom. This may include tutoring information, assistive technology, and other community resources.
